Stone Age Fun Days

IT'S MESO- NEO- MEGALITHIC FUN !

A Stone Age Fun Day is an opportunity for children aged 7-11 years old to enjoy learning about life 9,000 years ago.  The daily workshops run from 10.00am-4.30pm and places are available for only 30 children each day.  

Children must bring a packed lunch.

Each Stone Age Fun Day includes:

·    An entertaining introduction to archaeology

·    Flint knapping demonstration

·    Spear making & Boar hunting

·    Wattle making & weaving

·    Tomb building

·    Cave painting

·    Jewellery and Badge making using Stone Age materials and designs

·    Ask the Expert sessions with our Archaeologist

·    Using a quern stone to grind corn

·    Pot making & decoration

·    Displays & exhibits

·    Prizes for best colouring in and other activities

The cost per child is £5.

The "Stone Age Fun Day" programme is not suitable for children younger than 7 years old.
